Windows Essentials, formerly branded under Windows Live, has a host of useful applications to get you started with Windows.
Usually Microsoft Windows comes with a scarce number of apps right out of the box. However, Windows Essentials fills that gap with applications like Live Messenger, SkyDrive (a cloud storage tool), Live Mail, Photo Gallery, and Windows Movie Maker. Live mail is great for those without Outlook, and Movie Maker is still the useful program it's always been. SkyDrive integrates easily with other programs. Photo Gallery has useful features for viewing, editing, and organizing your photos. It's a large download, but that's because it contains so many programs.
